The sword's fittings are expertly crafted of black iron. The collar is made of hand polished brass. The hilt is covered with Ray skin and tightly wrapped in the traditional style black cord. A beautiful brass Menuki(small ornament) is inserted between the ray skin and the cord wrapped handle. This enhances the swords aesthetic appearance and makes the sword as traditional as it possibly can be. The sword is 19" long and the blade length is 13". The sword blade is constructed of 1050 carbon steel. The sheath is black lacquered wood.
