The overall length is 41-1/2 inches with a blade length of 29-1/2. Cold Steel in making this sword made a true replica but is larger in size than the classic Japanese battle sword of the past. This size sword considers the larger size of the man/woman of the 21st century. Some of the most distinctive features of this sword are the teal green silk wrap and ray skin used on the handles and the black iron furniture that features the dragonfly motif. The sword comes with two protective bags, one a blue travel bag and the other that is made of the finest metallic brocade. The scabbard is black lacquered wood.
